Kanske inte riktigt BBS-relaterat, men \u00e4nd\u00e5 en ganska bra anekdot fr\u00e5n den tid som det var. Alla vi som sysslade med BBSer hade tv\u00e5 hatobjekt: Telia och Microsoft. Telia h\u00f6jde d\u00e5 och d\u00e5 priserna och blev d\u00e4rf\u00f6r m\u00e5ltavlan fr\u00e5n mycket arga anv\u00e4ndare och Sysops. Detta skapade en h\u00e4tsk st\u00e4mning som fanns kvar in i Interneteran d\u00e4r Telias hemsida blev hackad tv\u00e5 g\u00e5nger och en person satte upp en personlig, och f\u00f6r den tiden, mycket popul\u00e4r hatsida mot Telia. Telia fick namnet ”Felia”, vilket var en vidarutveckling av ”Feleverket”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft d\u00e5? Tja, de var aggressiva och tog \u00f6ver det mesta. F\u00f6retag k\u00f6ptes upp och Microsoft f\u00f6rs\u00f6kte skapa sitt eget Internet (”Microsoft network”) och l\u00e5sa in anv\u00e4ndarna d\u00e4r. De konkurerade med Netscape och anv\u00e4nde alla fula trick i boken f\u00f6r att vinna. Bland oss Amigan\u00f6rdar var Microsoft Windows 3.11 ett sk\u00e4lsord. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Var denna ilska befogad? Idag kan man ju fundera p\u00e5 det, men d\u00e5 var det p\u00e5 riktigt. Med dagens situation i \u00e5tanke kan man skratta \u00e5t det och tycka att det var lite roande att det ber\u00f6rde s\u00e5 mycket. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1998 hade Microsoft k\u00f6pt Hotmail och n\u00f6rdarna var ursinninga! H\u00e4r \u00e4r ett upprop till bojkott fr\u00e5n detta \u00e5r. Ett litet memento \u00f6ver en svunnen tid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

”Microsoft did it again!
In one of their attempts to dominate the Internet they have bought the free email provider Hotmail. Needless to say, this is not good. I know that alot of you guys out there got hotmail accounts, please support the antims movement and termineta your account, do this by sending in the provided email (at the bottom of this file) to: ”verify_close@hotmail.com” and put: ”shutdown_me” in the subject field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The net is full of other free email providers, so it is completely painless to terminate a hotmail account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many people send in letters to magazines telling how bad they think Windows and other MS applications are. There are numerous antims sites on the WWW, but do they really make any difference? Does Microsoft care about this?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The answer is NO! But now we all have a chance to change this for ever. If a large amount of people terminates their hotmail accounts telling them that they have left because of Microsoft, then other companies would think twice before selling themselves to Microsoft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Terminating your hotmail account is powerfull statement against Microsoft domination !!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
